The Auer Dult on the Mariahilfplatz in the Au district takes place three times a year!
The special feature is the mix of dealers, antique dealers, food stalls and showmen and also a beer tent. The Auer Dult is not only market, but also folk festival, there are nostalgic rides such as chain carousel, children carousels, boat swing and shooting galleries.
The Jakobidult was first held in 1310 on the Anger, today's Sankt-Jakobs-Platz. From 1791 it took place in the Kaufinger and Neuhauser street. In 1796, Prince Karl Theodor granted the Munich suburb of Au the right to hold a market twice a year. The name Auer Dult dates from this period.
The Auer Dult is considered the largest tabelware market in Europe. Porcelain and ceramics are offered at numerous stands. In addition, you will find other household accessories, natural remedies and clothing.
