The Villa Stuck shows the exceptional artist Koloman Moser (1868-1918).He is one of the great visionaries of Viennese Modernism and his work is fascinating till now. As a universal artist, he masters the disciplines of painting, graphics, arts and crafts and interior design as well as fashion and stage design.
He is considered one of the most influential artists of the Viennese Art Nouveau style and, together with Gustav Klimt and Josef Hoffmann, is one of the leading figures in Viennese art spring. Many of the more than 600 exhibits, most of which come from the collection of the MAK in Vienna, are being showen to the public for the first time. The exhibition chronologically reviews every stage of Moser's unusual career: from the painter to the all-round designer, and finally back to painting.
